Thriving Ecosystem
We envision a thriving regional ecosystem in which every part of the innovation pipeline from lab to market is well represented, connected, and engaged in support of both existing and new ventures from conception to global export.
Startup Mojave is playing a critical role in regional ecosystem development by engaging the full range of stakeholder types.
Stakeholders in an entrepreneurial ecosystem include talent groups, educational institutions, civic leadership, workspaces, funding sources, industry partners, infrastructure, events and programs, community groups and organizations, and more.
We are nurturing their roles as active participants in collaboration around innovation initiatives and toward participation in national pipelines and global commerce.
As we identify the community’s needs — resource and relationship gaps in our regional entrepreneurial ecosystem — we develop initiatives to address them.
Community initiatives include things like themes we seek to emphasize, mindset shifts we need to nurture, and resources to create or curate to support our founders and teams.
Commercial initiatives include a wide range of strategic partnerships, and experimentation through pilot programs and new ventures.
We need your help to accurately assess and meaningfully address our ecosystem’s needs, and develop strategies to leverage strengths.

Our Methodology
Startup Mojave is building community around innovative entrepreneurship and an ecosystem of robust support.
This effort includes activities which connect and educate people and groups, the curation and creation of opportunities and resources, and the celebration of experimentation and success to make our efforts visible and accessible.
1. Connect everyone
Our events, programs, and activities are designed to create, enhance, and sustain community and stakeholder relationships — and through them nurture a collaborative, regional ecosystem mindset.
We are attentive to all stakeholder types, as well as the many stages between the lab and the marketplace.
2. Create Opportunities
As we connect the ecosystem we continually discover a variety of opportunities. We seek to curate and create these opportunities, help new or experienced entrepreneurs explore them, help them form teams to test them, and help them establish companies around them.
We instigate collaboration by connecting resources into “lab to market” pipelines, and nurture initial projects to ensure short and long term wins.
Startup Mojave the organization does not seek equitable participation in new ventures. Our role is to connect, instigate, and celebrate the work of community members and ecosystem partners.
3. Celebrate Publicly
We make our work, our stakeholders’ work, and the results highly visible, accessible, attractive, and contagious. We believe that when people see and understand what we’re doing, more innovators and entrepreneurs will emerge and engage.
We celebrate not only big, impressive wins, but also various unsuccessful attempts at innovation. Every experiment is an opportunity for learning and growth.
